The best time to hike Sapa in Vietnam is during the dry season, which is from October to April. During this time, temperatures are milder and there is less rainfall, making for more enjoyable hiking conditions.

In October, the average temperature in Sapa is around 15°C (59°F) and can reach highs of 24°C (75°F). As the season progresses into December and January, temperatures drop to an average of 8°C (46°F) and can reach lows of 2°C (36°F). February and March see temperatures start to rise again, with averages around 12°C (54°F) and highs of 20°C (68°F).

During the dry season, the landscape is also at its most beautiful, with clear skies and stunning views of the terraced rice fields.
