India Staying alive on boiled potatoes, tea and joints

A bus and a horse-drawn carriage later, I met someone who called himself Alibaba. He had been eating only boiled potatoes for 39 years, drank only tea, and smoked only joints in his house carved into a rock. Every evening, he fed the peacocks. I have no idea how long the list of extremely extraordinary people will become, but India seems to have a patent on them.
