And here, I learned that Koreans love titles. Besides Doctor An, there was also the Chief General Manager on board. When I asked about the responsibilities of a Chief General Manager, she weightily answered that she arranged the food for the team. A few moments later, I was considered part of the team too and had a beer in one hand and dried fish in the other.

Arriving in Pyongyang, we met our tour guides, one of whom seemed more interested in guarding us than guiding us: Mr. Li.
