- The three glacial lakes — The obvious showstoppers: a stepped trio of crystal-clear alpine lakes carved by ice. Their different sizes and colors, plus mirror-like reflections on calm days, make them visually distinct from single-lake hikes.
- Granite cirque and upper-lake viewpoint — Above the highest tarn the trail opens into a tight granite amphitheatre with ledges that make for dramatic panoramas. That sheer rock backdrop and the wide view down the Ordino valley feel much more alpine than many short day hikes.
- Marmots and mountain birds — You’ll often hear the whistling marmots and spot alpine birds on the scree slopes; chamois sometimes graze higher up. Wildlife here is approachable but shy, so early morning or late afternoon gives the best encounters without many people around.

- Summer wildflower carpets — In season the meadows between lakes fill with intense alpine blooms and lichen on rocks, adding bright color against the grey granite and blue water — great contrast for photos and noticeably different from lower-elevation trails.
- Pastoral traces and easy alpine access — Old shepherd tracks, stone bordes and grazing signs remind you this is a working mountain landscape, not just a nature reserve; plus the Ordino-Arcalís lift in summer can cut the approach, so you get high-alpine scenery with a relatively short walk.
