Animal Flower Cave lets you swim in a rock pool above the Atlantic for a modest entry fee, with no tour operator needed. It sits at the very northern tip of Barbados, in St. Lucy parish, reached by a long drive up from Bridgetown past cane fields and wind-bent trees. The wow-factor is real: sea-carved chambers, a window frame of blue water, and a surf that booms below your feet. The cave itself is small, though, and the guided walk takes under an hour, so don’t build a whole day around it. Crowds thin out if you avoid cruise-ship days.
