- Praděd (the summit and observation tower) — The highest point in the range (1,491 m), with a striking TV tower that doubles as a viewpoint. Alpine-like vegetation up top, long ridgeline hikes that reward you with sweeping panoramas and often dramatic weather — great for sunrise if you’re an early riser.
- Rejvíz peat bog and Velké mechové jezírko — A small, otherworldly bog with a wooden boardwalk and a tiny moss-covered lake that looks like a fairy set. Old beech forest, easy educational trails, and lots of bog plants you won’t see in the lowlands. (Personal favorite — it’s quiet, photogenic, and super accessible.)
- Bílá Opava gorge and waterfalls — A narrow, rocky river gorge with a string of cascades and wooden walkways carved into the cliffs. Popular but deservedly so — dramatic water

- Šerák-Keprník ridge — A long, open ridge with subalpine meadows, scattered stone outcrops, and views into both sides of the range. In summer the trails smell of heather and blueberries; good place for long day-hikes and birdwatching.
- Dlouhé stráně reservoir (pumped-storage hydro plant) — Not your typical “mountain lake”: a huge upper reservoir with dramatic dam walls and surprisingly photogenic industrial scenery. You can hike around it for big, wide views of the mountains — a neat mix of nature and engineering.
- Petrovy kameny (Peter’s Stones) — A chain of distinctive granite rock formations and tors near the main ridge, offering close-up geology, scrambling spots and clean viewpoints without the crowds of the summit proper.
- Karlova Studánka and surrounding forests — A tiny spa village tucked into the hills with historic wooden architecture, mineral springs and peaceful forest paths right from town. Excellent for a relaxed day walk after harder hikes elsewhere in the park.
