- Olomouc Fortress remains & military tunnels — The city was heavily fortified; you can still trace ramparts, bastions and visit parts of the underground fortifications. It’s a tactile way to understand Olomouc’s strategic past.
- Gallery of Fine Arts (Galerie výtvarného umění) — A solid regional art collection with both historic Moravian works and contemporary shows; smaller than Prague’s galleries but personal and easier to take in.
- Local markets and the food scene — The weekend farmers’ markets and small delis around the squares are where you taste local cheeses, smoked meats, and Moravian snacks; cultural insight equals what you can eat and talk to a vendor about.
