- Explore tide pools and the rocky east end — The east side has nooks and rock pools that trap small creatures at low tide. Perfect for poking around, photographing weird little critters, and letting kids play safely. It’s more interesting than a flat stretch of sand — a little micro-ecosystem to investigate. Best at low tide in daylight.
- Catch the mellow evening vibe — music, locals, and sunsets — Nights aren’t club-heavy here; instead expect small gatherings, impromptu drumming or singing, and people sharing food as the sun sets. It’s relaxed and social rather than tourist nightlife, which is the point. Good for after-sunset hangouts; skip swimming after dark unless you’re with locals who know the water.
