Most guides sell Cap d’Ail Coastal Path as a lazy seaside stroll; in reality, if you walk the full stretch and link it into Monaco, it turns into a sweaty, stair-heavy workout that will have your calves talking. The path hugs the coast just west of Monaco, effectively forming the rough-and-tumble shoreline approach into the principality from Cap d’Ail, skirting below the fancy apartments and train line.
