Struga sits on the northern shore of Lake Ohrid in southwest North Macedonia, a short hop from the Albanian border. For backpackers, Struga Beach is convenient more than magical: easy bus access, cheap rooms a few streets back, and plenty of burek, pizza slices, and grill joints that won’t mug your wallet.
