- Al Khafji Corniche — The city’s waterfront promenade is the social spine: evening walks, palms, sunset light over the Gulf and lots of local life (fishermen, families, kids flying kites).
- Al Khafji Fishing Port & Fish Market — Go early to watch the boats come in, see the morning sorting and bargaining, and buy ridiculously fresh seafood you can take to a nearby grill — authentic, noisy, and very local.
- Public Beaches of Al Khafji — Wide sandy stretches and shallow Gulf waters; simple, clean swimming, shell-collecting and sunset photography without the crowds you get farther south.
- Old Souq / Local Market — Small-scale stalls selling dates, spices, coffee, household goods and cheap clothing; great for watching everyday commerce and practicing a little Arabic bargaining.

- Seafront Seafood Row — A string of family-run restaurants and grills near the corniche where you can try local preparations of hammour, shrimp and grilled fish — casual, affordable, and full of flavour.
- Coastal Dunes & Sandbanks — The fringe of dunes just outside the built-up area is ideal for short hikes, sunset trips and low-key dune-bashing; quiet and very photogenic if you like wide desert-meets-sea views.
- Al Khafji Grand Mosque (central mosque) — An accessible example of local mosque architecture and a place to observe daily religious life; non-Muslim visitors should be respectful of prayer times and dress codes.
- Municipal Parks and Family Gardens — Scattered green spaces around town where locals gather in the evenings — good spots to see neighborhood life, grab a tea from a street vendor, or nap in the shade.
- Local Sports Grounds / Stadium — Catch a community football match or youth game for a lively, very local experience: cheap, energetic and a good way to meet people.
- Border-area Viewpoints & Local Gulf History Spots — The northern edge of the city faces the Kuwait border and has informal viewpoints and sites where locals tell stories about the area’s modern history; talking to residents or a guide here adds historical depth you won’t get from a brochure.
