- Tatranská Lomnica ski area & lift network — The resort itself is a highlight: long, well-maintained runs in winter and an extensive lift system in summer that opens up walking routes and high viewpoints. Even if you don’t ski, the lift rides and mountain terraces are worth it.
- Tatra Electric Railway station (Tatranská Lomnica stop) — More than a transit point: riding the vintage-style local trains is part of the High Tatras vibe. The station lets you hop to neighboring villages, and watching the little trains thread the valley feels properly alpine.
- Grandhotel Praha — A historic mountain hotel with an old-world facade and a spa; it anchors the town and is a good place to soak sore legs, admire period architecture, or enjoy a coffee without pretending you didn’t hike all day.
- Hotel Lomnica (historic hotel building) — Close to the cable car base, this longstanding hotel is part of the resort’s history. Even if you don’t stay, the lobby/café atmosphere and surrounding streets give a window into the turn-of-the-century alpine tourism that shaped the town.
- TANAP visitor/educational displays and small botanical exhibits — Scattered around the resort area are official park info points and alpine-plant displays explaining the fragile high-mountain environment. Short, local, and useful for understanding the ecosystems you’re walking through.
- Traditional “koliba” restaurants and local wooden architecture in the resort centre — Not a single monument, but the cluster of wooden eateries, carved details and simple highlander food in Tatranská Lomnica give a genuine cultural feel: try bryndzové halušky or a smoked cheese snack after a day on the trails.
