Slovenia turned out to be a don’t-try-this-at-home episode of my life. A few tips how to avoid this from happening to you.
- Never drink in a place where it’s also possible to sign up for paragliding
- Rule 1 is especially important if you are afraid of heights
- In case you did ignore rule 1 and 2 don’t pick an instructor smaller than you since you end up being te one responsible for running towards the cliff as your instructor can’t reach the ground
- Don’t go nightswimming in lake Bled in the only area where swimming isn’t allowed (even if you can’t see the signs in the dark)
- If you see a beautiful (other) lake surrounded by 100s of people in swimming gear baking in the sun but nobody actually swimming, don’t try out why (the water was freezzzing)
- If after breaking rule 1, 2 and 3 you are still afraid of heights, don’t take a friend, who considers every impossible mountain a walk in the park, as your guide. You end up on top of the deadliest mountain of Slovenia and still have to go down
- Don’t start giving rounds of Schnapps to the bartenders of a mountain hut. They may end up giving more rounds back
- Don’t go supping in your normal clothes, especially if balance isn’t one of your top-3 skills
- Actually, don’t go supping at all. After half an hour we were surrounded by thunder and lightning and we had to (quite litteraly) sup for our lives
Slovenia is a stunning destination and i would take the same (or other) stupid decisions again when i come back #enjoylife

To the top of the most dangeours mountain of Slovenia
Still don’t know how I did it but climbed this monster today. When I saw the mountain I was pretty sure I was not able to reach the top. But thanks to my personal superguide Blaž Lovenjak (who I met in Iceland last year) we made it. He even showed
