👌 Worth visitingfestival ranked #17
By Johan Kruseman 🇳🇱 | Updated October 22, 2026

Camp Flog Gnaw is a two-day weekend show in November, not a camping festival, and nobody sleeps in a tent. It runs at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles, California, United States, just north of downtown. Tyler, the Creator’s carnival mixes hip-hop, R&B and alt music with rides and food. Crowds skew young and loud. I rode the shuttle from Union Station, where a man selling bacon-wrapped hot dogs outside rated my outfit as “festival-ready.” Parking lots become the midway.

✨ Why go?
Ranked #17 festival in the USA
What sets this place apart

Camp Flog Gnaw is a rare short weekend festival you can slot between a LA stay and a Pacific Coast road trip without burning a week. The draw is the crowd: fans arrive in elaborate pastel outfits, and strangers trade compliments and festival stories in shuttle lines. Because it sits on one weekend at Dodger Stadium, you spend far less than on a multi-day camping festival, and you keep your other days free for tacos, beaches and museums. The Tyler, the Creator curation also means genre-crossing sets you won't see on a standard festival circuit.

💡 HighlightsTop highlights of Camp Flog Gnaw

  1. The carnival midway: Ferris wheel, rides and games fill the stadium parking lots, giving the day a county-fair feel with a rap soundtrack.
  2. Tyler, the Creator’s headline set: The founder closes the night with theatrical staging and a crowd that knows every word.
  3. Main stage lineup: Hip-hop, R&B and alternative artists share the big stage, so genres blur in a single afternoon.
  4. Fan fashion: Attendees dress in bold colors and handmade outfits, so people-watching is half the entertainment.
  5. Food and merch stalls: Local vendors sell festival-exclusive merchandise and Los Angeles street-style food between sets.
Camp Flog Gnaw fills one long afternoon and evening, so plan on about ten to twelve hours from arrival to the last shuttle.

🌤️ When to go?When is the celebration of Camp Flog Gnaw?

Camp Flog Gnaw is held over one weekend in November (Saturday and Sunday, usually the second or third weekend) at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles, and the date shifts each year with the Dodgers' schedule.
  • Best day: Saturday and Sunday both carry big headliners, so pick by lineup. Go early for smaller acts.
  • Weather: Days run 20 to 26°C (68 to 79°F), evenings drop to 12 to 15°C (54 to 59°F), rain is rare. Bring a layer, sunscreen and comfortable shoes.
  • Booking: Buy tickets at the first on-sale and book beds 2 to 3 months out. Rates in Downtown LA climb 30 to 60 percent.
  • Arrival: Arrive before 2 pm and leave after the headliner has cleared, since roads around Chavez Ravine jam.
Take rideshare or shuttle to a drop zone and walk the last stretch.

🍲 FoodLocal Cuisine & Drinks

Expect a festival-grade food lineup that leans on Los Angeles itself: tacos, burgers, fried chicken sandwiches, pizza slices and vegan options from local vendors, with Dodger Stadium's usual Dodger Dogs still on the grounds. Drinks are beer, canned cocktails, lemonade and bottled water, and prices are stadium-high. Try the tacos, since they are the most LA thing you can eat standing up between sets. Lines swell right before headliners, so eat mid-afternoon. Payment is mostly card or tap-to-pay, and cash is often not accepted, so bring a card. Portions suit one person, but sharing a plate with a new friend is easy and cuts the cost. Fill a refillable bottle if water stations are open.

We 💚 feedbackParting advice and final tips

Camp Flog Gnaw trips up travelers who treat it like a camping festival and book far-off lodging. Stay near downtown or Union Station, take the shuttle, and leave early. I would also carry a portable charger, because photos and ride-share surge pricing drain batteries fast.
