- Ofu Beach & the Ofu-Olosega reef — A postcard-perfect white sand beach backed by one of the healthiest coral lagoons you’ll find. Snorkel right offshore and you’ll see dense coral cover, turtles, and bright reef fish in clear, warm water.
- Fagatele Bay (submerged volcanic crater) — A dramatic crescent bay cut into volcanic rock with sheer cliffs and a protected marine sanctuary. Boat or guided-hike access rewards you with calm snorkeling, cliffs full of life, and a real sense of remoteness close to Tutuila.
- Mount Alava Trail & lookout — A steep, rewarding hike through rainforest that opens onto panoramic views of Pago Pago Harbor and the island ridge-lines. The trail also passes WWII-era relics and provides great bird- and plant-watching opportunities.

- Pola (Pola Point) sea cliffs and sea stack — Towering basalt cliffs and a dramatic offshore sea stack rising straight out of the surf. It’s one of the park’s signature photo spots and a nesting area for seabirds — very atmospheric at dawn or dusk.
- Manuʻa islands (Ofu, Olosega & Taʻū) — The park’s most remote, least-visited pieces: rugged cliffs, lone beaches, and quiet villages. Taʻū and Ofu offer big reef systems, raw landscapes, and a genuine off-the-grid island vibe if you want to get away from crowds.
- Lowland rainforest and flying-fox colonies — Thick tropical forest that’s home to endemic plants, forest birds and daytime roosts of Samoan flying foxes (fruit bats). Walk quietly and you’ll see the canopy come alive — and hear the bats at dusk.
- Coral gardens and snorkeling/diving sites across the park — Beyond one flagship beach, the park protects multiple reef systems that are consistently touted for high coral cover and diversity. If you like underwater life, plan time for guided snorkeling or a dive to explore different reef pockets.
