- Maralgol (Deer Lake) — A smaller, quieter alpine lake a short hike from Goygol. It’s named for the deer that come to graze nearby; glassy mornings here feel like a private wilderness postcard.
- Primeval beech-hornbeam forests — Old-growth stands of beech, hornbeam and other Caucasus trees cloak the valleys. They’re great for shaded hikes, mushroom- and bird-watching, and seeing how dense, layered mountain forests really look.

- Streams, cascades and small waterfalls — A network of clear mountain streams feeds the lakes; there are several photo-friendly cascades and mossy pools that feel surprisingly remote despite being close to main trails.
- Goygol town and historic German heritage — While not purely natural, the nearby town (once Helenendorf) adds a unique human layer: old vineyards, German-built stone houses and cellars sit against the park’s wild backdrop—nice to combine a nature day with a bit of local history.
