- Snorkeling the sheltered crevices and underwater ledges — The enclosed shape of the bay keeps the water glassy and super clear, revealing rocky ledges, crannies and small fish right off the beach. The combination of shallow pebbles and deeper drop-offs close by makes it unusually rewarding for a short swim-and-explore session — daytime only unless you’re doing a planned, well-lit night dive.
- Float and swim in the calm turquoise basin — Unlike exposed beaches, Stiniva’s walls block wind and chop, so you can relax in surprisingly calm, warm water even when the rest of the coast is rough. The pebble shore and natural enclosure make floating quietly between the walls a special, almost private feeling. After dark you can still go for a moonlit swim if you’re careful, but watch for boats and the narrow exit.
- Photography and golden-hour light inside the cove — The cliffs catch and reflect light in a way few beaches do: sunbeams slide into the cove and turn the water opalescent, giving dramatic contrasts for photos. In the evening the site is excellent for long-exposure shots of boats at the mouth and for capturing a clean, low-pollution starfield above the rim — quiet, but bring a tripod and dress warm.
