Pissouri Beach is one of those places that online reviews sell as sleepy and quiet, yet in peak season you’ll spend half your time dodging rental cars and sunbeds like it’s a low-stakes obstacle course. It sits on the south coast of Cyprus, roughly halfway between Limassol and Paphos. For backpackers, it’s a solid “maybe-yes”: the water is usually clear, swimming is good when the swell is calm, and the long arc of pebbly sand and cliffs gives it more character than the resort strips of Paphos. It’s cleaner and less chaotic than Kourion, but more built-up than nearby Avdimou.
