It sits on Guernsey’s north coast, a broad arc of sand backed by golf course and wartime bunkers rather than cute cafés. For backpackers, it’s a solid base if you like long walks, clean water, and swimming that’s great on calm days but exposed and choppy when the wind’s up. The sand is clean, the vibe low-key and slightly utilitarian, with dog walkers and kite surfers instead of influencers.
