- Summer festival takeover (Day & Night) — For a few weeks every summer the whole beach turns into a festival ground: daytime beach stages, camping on the sand, daytime pool/shore parties and full-on night shows with lights reflecting across the water. It’s the thing that makes Zamárdi feel like a different place in high season — loud, crowded, electric and impossible to forget.
- Tihany sunset panorama (Best at sunset) — The low western horizon and clear sightline to the Tihany peninsula give you one of the most cinematic Balaton sunsets. Walk out on the shore or up the nearby slope and watch the peninsula turn into a silhouette while the water goes molten gold — great for photos and quiet, slightly smug moments.

- Long, shallow family shoreline (Day) — Zamárdi has one of the longest continuous beaches on the southern shore of Balaton with gently sloping, warm water that stays shallow for a good distance. That makes it excellent for kids, long walks, casual wading or learning to stand-up-paddle without being in deep water.
- Hillside views and short vineyard hikes (Day) — A short climb out of town gets you onto terraces and low ridges behind the beach with vineyards and picnic spots. It’s a quick nature escape from the sand: you get panoramic lake views, a breeze that’s cooler than the beach and easy walks that feel surprisingly remote.
- Concentrated water-sport and rental scene (Day) — Unlike quieter Balaton coves, Zamárdi packs rental booths, lessons and activity operators into a small stretch: SUP, small-boat rentals, windsurf basics and seasonal wake/water-ski options. If you want to try something new without hunting the coast, this is the spot.
