- Bird migration and other raptors — Beyond the vultures, Gamla is on a migration corridor so in spring and autumn you’ll see hawks, eagles and other migrants passing through — a small paradise for birdwatchers with binoculars and patience.
- Rock hyrax colonies and small wildlife — The cute, sunbathing rock hyraxes (“daman”) are easy to spot on the rocks, and the reserve’s pools and vegetation support frogs, lizards and lots of insect life — nice little encounters that make the walks feel alive.
