- Remote Atmosphere, Stars & Local Flavor — Far from city lights, the dunes are quiet and excellent for stargazing; at night the silence makes the “singing” feel almost mythical. Nearby you’ll also encounter nomadic grazing land and occasional yurt camps or guides who will tell local stories about the dune — adds a cultural layer to the landscape.
