- Tidal flats & mudflats — Vast, exposed at low tide and absolutely alive with life; these flats are a critical feeding ground for migrating shorebirds and create dramatic, ever-changing patterns underfoot.
- Migratory birdwatching — Boubyan is a major stopover on the flyway: expect large concentrations of waders, terns, gulls and other passage migrants in spring and autumn — bring binoculars and patience.

- Remote beaches and sand dunes — Long empty beaches and low dunes offer excellent walking and sunset views; there are no formal trails, so plan for off-trail walking and soft sand.

- Dark skies and solitude — Far from city lights, Boubyan is one of Kuwait’s best places for stargazing and quiet camping (where allowed) — perfect if you want nature with no crowds.
