- Main Cascades — The showstopper: multiple tiers of water plunging into a deep gorge (around 110 m total). Sheer power, constant spray and lots of rainbow moments make it the best place for dramatic photos and the classic Ouzoud view.
- Base of the Falls & Boat Trips — Small skiffs will take you right into the spray so you can feel the falls up close. You’ll get soaked, hear the roar, and stand in natural plunge pools. Personal favorite — nothing beats being under that wall of water after a long hot hike.
- Olive Terraces and Old Watermills (moulins) — The falls sit in terraced olive groves with stone mills dotted along the stream. The mills and narrow irrigation channels give the place a lived-in, ancient feel and make for lovely, quieter photo spots.

- Barbary Macaques and Local Wildlife — Friendly, photogenic monkeys live around the falls; birds like kingfishers and raptors show up too. They’re used to people, so observe from a distance and don’t feed them — they’re clever with snacks and it gets messy fast.
- Natural Pools & Swimming Spots — Above and beside the cascades are calm rock pools where locals and visitors cool off. Water’s clear and refreshing — perfect for a dip if you don’t mind slippery rocks and the occasional crowd.
- Sunset Viewpoints & Cafés — Climb to the higher terraces or sit at a cliff-side café for sunset; the light softens the cliffs and olive groves and usually thins the day-trippers. It’s calm, photogenic and a great time for a tagine with a view.
