- Gondogoro La — A high, dramatic pass that gives one of the best panoramic payoffs: Concordia, K2, Broad Peak and many glaciers all in one sweep. It’s a tougher, more technical crossing than the normal in-out trek but worth it for people who want a different route and better vistas.
- Biafo-Hispar / Snow Lake area — A massive ice corridor where glaciers join to create a vast, crevassed landscape (Snow Lake / Lukpe Lawo); the remoteness and scale make it feel like another planet and it’s a seriously challenging but unforgettable trek for those who want solitude and raw glacial scenery.
- High-altitude wildlife & alpine meadows — The park protects habitat for snow leopard, Himalayan ibex (Siberian ibex), Himalayan brown bear and various raptors; sightings are rare but the summer meadows, wildflowers and marmots make lower-altitude camps surprisingly lively. Respectful, quiet trekking and local guides increase your chances of glimpses.
