- Nighttime turtle watching & dark-sky stargazing — When nesting season happens, the beach can host nocturnal turtle landings; respectful, guided watches (or keeping a respectful distance) are genuinely moving and uniquely local. Even on non-nesting nights, the lack of light pollution makes for excellent stargazing and, on calm nights, faint bioluminescent ribbons in the surf.
