- Pančić’s Peak (Pančićev vrh) — The park’s highest point (around 2,017 m) and the classic must-see: short but rewarding hikes lead to sweeping views over the Kopaonik ridge and the surrounding valleys. Best at sunrise or late afternoon when the light makes the plateaus glow.
- Pančić’s Spruce (the endemic spruce) — A botanical icon: a rare, slow-growing spruce first described by Josif Pančić. Wander the high forests and meadows to spot isolated stands and feel why botanists love this place.

- Main ridge walks and panoramic trails — Kopaonik’s ridgeline offers long, accessible hikes with consistent views, rolling meadows and short ascents rather than technical climbs. Good for multi-hour treks without needing mountaineering gear.
- Alpine meadows and floral diversity — The mountain is carpeted with seasonal blooms and a surprising number of mountain herbs and orchids. In late spring and early summer the meadows are especially colorful and fragrant.
- Wildlife watching — Look for chamois and roe deer on quieter slopes, foxes and hares in the dusk, and raptors circling the ridges. Early morning or dusk on the less-traveled trails gives the best chances.
- Winter landscapes and the ski-area access — Even if you’re not into skiing, the lifts and groomed routes open up high-altitude terrain for winter walks and give fast access to panoramic summits in all seasons. The snow-covered ridges are spectacularly stark.
