- Remains of the medieval town fortifications — Scattered stretches of walls and old gate fragments around the old town. They aren’t a single museum piece but they give real sense of the medieval layout if you like poking around.
- Local market & food stalls (near the square) — If you time it right, the market is where you taste local cheeses, baked goods and meet farmers. It’s small, honest, and a good place to stock up for a hike into the surrounding countryside.
- Spišská Nová Ves Cultural Centre / small galleries and performance spaces — The town punches above its size with rotating art shows, music and theatre in intimate venues — check calendars for concerts or temporary exhibitions while you’re in town.
