- Berdyansk Embankment (Primorsky Boulevard) — The city’s living room: a long seaside promenade with cafés, sculptures, street vendors and a lively mix of locals and tourists. Best for evening walks, people-watching and catching Azov Sea sunsets without any fuss.
- Berdyansk Spit (Berdyanskaya Kosa) — A sandy, pine-backed spit that feels like a tiny coastal nature reserve. Good for long beach walks, birdwatching, dunes and the kind of quiet you don’t get in the center. Pack water and sunscreen; parts are undeveloped and pleasantly simple.
- Berdyansk Lighthouse — The small working lighthouse at the end of the spit is an iconic photo spot and gives you a sweeping view of the port, sea and shoreline. Even if you don’t climb it, the area around the beacon is worth the walk.

- Dolphinarium “Nemo” — One of the city’s most popular family attractions. The dolphin and seal shows are touristy but charming, and the facility runs short educational sessions if you want a quick, feel-good marine experience.
- Berdyansk Museum of Local Lore — Compact but informative: exhibits on the city’s founding, Cossack history, local archaeology and the sea-fishing economy. A solid stop to put the sights into historical context.
- Berdyansk Sea Port & Fishing Harbor — Walk the quays, watch trawlers come and go, and buy very fresh fish straight from the dockside sellers. It’s an honest slice of local working life and great for candid photos.
- Taras Shevchenko Park and Monument — A shady green space near the center with the Shevchenko statue and steady local traffic of families and chess players. Good for a relaxed break between museum visits and the beach.
- Central City Market (Rynok) — Nothing beats a bustling market to taste a place: seasonal produce, smoked and fresh Azov fish, breads and local snacks. Cheap, flavorful and an easy way to eat like a local on a budget.
- Alley of Glory / WWII Memorial — A thoughtful, accessible memorial area honoring wartime history; locals still bring flowers. Quiet, straightforward, and useful if you want to understand civic memory in Berdyansk.
- Old Town streets / Historical Center — Walkable lanes with older houses, small cafés and a few surviving pre-Soviet and Soviet-era buildings. Less polished than the resort parts of the city, but full of small details that show how locals actually live here.
