- Desert trails and outlooks — Don’t skip the surface: short hikes and scenic drives around the park give you high-desert vistas, wildflowers (seasonal), cactus, and a chance to spot birds, mule deer, and lizards — a nice contrast to the cave coolness.
- Amphitheater at sunset — Even when the bats aren’t flying, the amphitheater is a simple, satisfying place to watch sunset colors hit the ridge and listen to the desert settle. Great for low-effort evening vibes after a day underground.
