You probably won’t stumble on a saola, but dawn chorus and camera-trap sightings tell you you’re in important wildlife country.

- River valleys and boat trips — Small boat runs along the park’s rivers cut into the landscape and reveal limestone outcrops, riverside birds and life on the water. It’s an easy, scenic way to see different habitats without a hard trek.
- Waterfalls and natural pools — Short treks lead to cool cascades and swimming holes tucked under the canopy. Perfect for a post-hike dip and great spots for photographers who like saturated greens and moving water.
- Ethnic Thai villages and homestays — The park’s surrounding communities offer genuine homestays, stilt houses and simple home-cooked meals. Adds a cultural layer to the visit and is a practical way to support local guides and conservation-friendly livelihoods.
- Night walks and frog/insect chorus — Once the sun goes down the forest comes alive in a different way: frogs, nocturnal birds, insects and the occasional mammal. Guided night walks (with a local) are the best chance to catch these nighttime behaviors.
