You know what nobody tells you about Saranda Beach until you’re already leaving? It’s one of the easiest bases in Albania for day-tripping to far better beaches, with buses and boats fanning out like a budget traveler’s cheat code. Saranda sits on Albania’s southern Ionian coast, just across from Corfu, and the main town beach is… fine. Not awful, not magical. The water is clear enough for a decent swim, but the strip gets crowded, a bit cigarette-y, and the cleanliness swings wildly with the season. Scenery-wise, you get a pleasant bay and city lights, not wild nature. No real surf, basic snorkel potential, and diving is better elsewhere.
