- Daytime highlights
- Twin-cove viewpoint — Two small coves carved into the rocky coast sit side-by-side; the split view and crashing surf make for dramatic, postcard-worthy photos you won’t get on Aruba’s calmer west side.
- Rugged hike-in approach — A short, rocky trail through the national park gives the place a proper “you earned this” feel; it’s part of the experience — not a resort stroll — so bring sturdy shoes and water.
- Tide pools & sculpted rock features — At lower tides you can pick through pools full of small marine life and explore uniquely eroded rock shapes that make for great macro shots and close-up discovery.
- Wave-and-spray amphitheater — The cove funnels swell into a noisy, showy display; watching breakers slam into the cliffs from a safe perch is hypnotic

- Secluded picnic & downtime — No facilities, few people: perfect for a quiet lunch, reading, or just getting away from the crowds. Bring shade, water, and pack out everything — there’s no trash service.
- Nighttime highlights (if you choose to visit)
- Stargazing from the cliffs — Low light pollution and a wide horizon make this a top spot for constellations and Milky Way views on clear nights — way better than beach bars and neon.
- Moonlit surf spectacle — Full or near-full moons turn the crashing waves silver; the cliff vantage gives you dramatic reflections and moodier photos than daytime shots.
- Long-exposure rock-and-wave photography — With a tripod you can capture smooth, milky water against jagged silhouettes — very cinematic, and unique because of the cliff formations.
- Nocturnal shorelife watching — Quiet evenings bring out ghost crabs and other small critters along the sand and rocks; observe with red or dim light and no flash to avoid disturbing them.
- Moonlit, mindful walks (take care) — The soundscape at night is superb for slow, reflective walks. Important: check park rules and don’t wander close to cliff edges — go with a light and ideally a partner.
