- Prohodna Cave (“The Eyes of God”): Two large oval holes in the ceiling create dramatic shafts of light at certain times of day — a photographer’s dream. The low, walkable floor and easy access make it a popular stop for short hikes, climbing and watching sunlight drift across the rock face.
- Devetashka Cave: A huge karst chamber with cathedral-sized cavities where bats roost and ancient people once sheltered. It’s impressive for the scale alone — vast openings, archaeological finds, and a real sense of walking into a prehistoric space.
- Krushuna Waterfalls: Series of tufa cascades and turquoise pools connected by wooden boardwalks. The lush, mossy terraces and small cascades are especially pretty in spring and early summer when water flow is strongest.

- Panega Cave: A smaller, easily visited show-cave on the Panega River with interesting stalactites and an active stream passage. It’s accessible and gives a nice contrast to the giant chambers of Devetashka — good for a short guided visit.
- Karlukovo karst and sinkhole fields: A landscape of dolines (big sinkholes), small caves and limestone formations that’s fun to explore on foot. Short circuits around the sinkhole rims give panoramic views and an up-close look at classic karst geology.
- Bats, raptors and spring wildflowers: The geopark is a hotspot for bat colonies (many caves host them), cliff-nesting birds of prey, and a lively spring display of orchids and meadow flowers. Keep binoculars handy and move quietly — you’ll see more if you don’t scare things off.
