- Mountain meadows, grazing animals and local flavors (frgál) — Summer wildflowers, grazing sheep/cattle and the scent of fresh grass make parts of the route feel alpine. Plus, the mountain huts sell regional treats like frgál (sweet stuffed cakes) and hot drinks — little cultural comforts that make the hike memorable.
