- Cap d’Antibes headland — A compact maze of rocky promontories and secret pebble coves where the trail threads right along the water. The path gives insanely close views of crystal-blue water, pine-scented cliffs and the Garoupe area; on clear days you can see the Îles de Lérins off the coast. It’s perfect for quick dips, snorkeling around rock formations, and that classic Riviera postcard light.
- Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat and Villa Ephrussi — The littoral here feels posh and peaceful at once: immaculate Belle Époque villas peek through pines while the coastal path drops to turquoise inlets. You get glimpses of the gardens and the pink villa from the path, plus sheltered swimming spots and abundant small marine life in the shallows—great for slow, photo-heavy walking.

- Villefranche-sur-Mer bay — One of the deepest natural harbors in the Mediterranean, the bay has impossibly clear water and a compact, colorful old port that contrasts with the wild coast. From the path you get sweeping panoramic views into the horseshoe bay; it’s a birdy spot and a lovely place to pause at a café or jump into the water off a rock.
- Cliffs around Cap d’Ail and the approach to Monaco — Steep, dramatic drops and narrow coastal ledges give this section a cinematic feel—one minute you’re looking at bare rock and the next the principality’s skyline and luxury yachts appear. The mix of raw cliffside nature and glittering human scale makes the views especially striking compared with more “green” inland hikes.
- Corniche d’Or / Esterel red cliffs — The red volcanic rock that plunges into the blue sea is unlike almost anywhere else on the Côte d’Azur. Hikes here are about bold colors, sculpted rock shapes, and quieter coves for snorkelling; photographers and sunset chasers love it because the cliffs glow when the light hits them right.
