The thing nobody tells you about Little Bay beach is that the high concrete walls and cove shape mean it’s often calmer and less windy than the rest of Gibraltar’s coastline, so while everyone else is getting sandblasted at Eastern Beach, you’re actually able to read your book. Tucked on the west side of the Rock, below the Europa Road area, it’s a compact, semi-urban pocket of sand and rock that feels more like a neighborhood hangout than a grand seaside escape. Clean enough, usually, with clear water and gentle swimming when the Levante isn’t kicking up, but forget about surf and serious snorkeling. It’s easy to reach by bus or on foot, with cheap-ish cafés and basic lodgings uphill, and far less chaotic than Catalan Bay or Eastern Beach, though the concrete and road noise kill any “remote paradise” fantasy fast.
