- Lambir Waterfall — The park’s most popular spot: tiered falls that feed clear jungle pools perfect for a cooling dip. It’s scenic, easy to reach from the park HQ and great for photos, picnics and a break after hiking. (Personal favorite — nothing beats that first plunge after sweating up the trail.)
- Bukit Lambir summit trail — A steep, sweaty climb that ends with a real canopy-level feel and a compact viewpoint over the surrounding hills. Short but sharp; do it early for cooler temps and bird activity.
- Biodiversity hotspot — Lambir is famous for ridiculously high tree and plant diversity. You’ll see strange orchids, pitcher plants and a bewildering variety of trunks and buttresses — a botanist’s playground and a photographer’s dream.
- Birdwatching and wildlife spotting — Early mornings

- Birdwatching and wildlife spotting — Early mornings bring noisy, colorful birdlife (including hornbills and sunbirds), while trails often reveal macaques, monitor lizards, frogs and heaps of butterflies. Bring binoculars and patience.
- Short loop trails and river crossings — The park has several well-marked short and medium loops that thread streams, little rapids and forest interiors — ideal if you want jungle time without committing to a full-day trek.
- Night walks — Take a guided night walk to find tree frogs, nocturnal insects, geckos and the odd owl. Completely different mood from daytime; bring a headlamp and listen more than you look.
- Research station and forest-plot area — The on-site research plot has made Lambir famous among ecologists; signs and staff sometimes share insights about the forest’s dynamics, rare plants and conservation work — good for curious minds who want context beyond “pretty trees.”
