- Jbel Tazekka summit — The park’s high point gives wide panoramas over the Middle Atlas and the plains beyond. The climb is rewarding: rocky ridgelines, changing vegetation as you gain altitude, and clear views that make early mornings especially worth the effort. (Personal favorite.)
- Grotte de Tazekka — A cool, dramatic cave system with big chambers and stalactite/stalagmite formations. It’s a striking contrast to the sunlit forests above and a good short detour if you want something different from a ridge hike.
- Cedar and oak forests — Thick stands of cedar and mixed oak create a green, almost primeval feel. These woods are peaceful, great for short walks, and hold much of the park’s wildlife — shade, moss, and the smell of resin make it easy to slow down.
- Waterfalls and gorges — Streams

- Waterfalls and gorges — Streams have carved surprising drops and narrow ravines here. After rain or in spring the little waterfalls and plunge pools come alive; the cliffs and rock faces also make for dramatic photo spots.
- Ridge trails and day-hike routes — A network of paths links summits, forests and viewpoints. Trails range from easy forest walks to steeper ridge scrambles, so you can tailor a day out to your fitness and still see varied scenery without a guide.
- Spring meadows and wildflowers — In spring, higher meadows burst into color: carpets of alpine flowers, grasses and herbs. It’s seasonal but unforgettable if you hit it right — good for picnics and slow wandering.
- Birdlife and mammals — Raptors patrol the ridges and smaller birds hide in the canopy; with luck you’ll spot foxes, wild boar tracks, and sometimes Barbary macaques at the forest edge. Wildlife viewing is best early or late in the day and requires patience.
