- Coastal cliffs and rocky headlands — Dramatic sea-facing cliffs with big views across the Atlantic and good chances to see seabirds and splashes of sea spray. Short cliff-top hikes here are compact but rewarding — big scenery, little effort.
- Long sandy beaches and dunes — Wide, empty stretches of sand perfect for low-key hikes, picnics, and sunsets. Not a theme-park beach — more raw and windswept — which is exactly why backpackers like it.
- Simple hiking loops and viewpoints — Trails through dunes, across argan slopes and down to the shoreline give varied terrain in a short day. Routes aren’t heavily waymarked, so expect basic paths, a little navigation and very real solitude.
- Seasonal bird migration hotspot — Beyond resident species, the park is a stepping-stone for migrants in spring and autumn; you’ll see different species depending on when you go, which makes repeat visits interesting.
