- Stedelijk Museum Deventer — The city museum with local art, archaeology and history that helps make sense of Deventer’s Hanseatic past and its everyday life through the centuries.
- Speelgoedmuseum Deventer (Toy Museum) — A surprisingly charming, hands-on collection of toys and games from different eras; fun, nostalgic, and a nice contrast to the heavy history elsewhere in town.
- Molen De Vlijt (De Vlijt Windmill) — A working windmill near the old city walls. If the miller’s there you can watch grain being milled and get a photogenic view back toward the centre.
- IJssel riverside promenade & ferry — Walk the riverbank for peaceful views, café terraces and boat-watching. In season the small foot ferry across the IJssel adds a proper local feel to the outing.
