- Szczeliniec Wielki — the park’s highest and most iconic plateau: a sea of sandstone towers, stair-cut paths and odd rock sculptures. Climb the steps for sweeping panoramas and wander between named formations like the “Pilgrim” and the carved-out ledges that make great sunrise/sunset shots.
- Błędne Skały (The Errant Rocks) — a natural rock maze with narrow corridors, tunnels and windows that open unexpectedly onto tiny viewpoints. It feels like an urban labyrinth made of stone and is unusually photogenic and fun to explore.
- Skalne Grzyby (Rock Mushrooms) — clusters of mushroom-shaped pillars carved by wind and water. They’re compact, surreal and perfect for close-up photography; seeing the delicate balancing shapes explains why the park is geologically special.

- Table-top Sandstone Formations — the whole park is built from horizontal sandstone layers that erode into flat-topped ridges and bizarre sculptures. This geology is rare in Europe and gives the area that “city of rocks” feel that hikers rave about.
- Panoramic Viewpoints — scattered terraces and lookouts give uninterrupted views over the Sudetes, Karkonosze and across the Polish-Czech border. On clear days the light and layers of ridges are fantastic for landscape photos and map-reading orientation.
- Ancient Beech Forests and Quiet Trails — beneath the rocks are dense beech stands, mossy floors and peaceful single-track paths. The forests host woodpeckers, songbirds, deer and lots of fungi in autumn — a good counterpoint to the exposed rock tops.
- Marked Hiking Routes and Easy Access Points — trails range from short, family-friendly loops through rock corridors to longer ridge walks linking plateaus. Villages like Karłów and Radków serve as handy bases with trailheads, maps and modest services if you’re traveling on a budget.
