- Caves, Sinkholes and Other Karst Features — dolines, swallow-holes and smaller caves dot the area. You won’t find huge tourist show caves here, but the karst geology is fascinating and visible everywhere if you pay attention.
- Wildlife — lynx, deer, boar and raptors — surprisingly rich fauna: roe and red deer, wild boar, foxes and occasional signs of Eurasian lynx, plus lots of raptors and owls. Dawn and dusk are prime times for quiet wildlife watching (binoculars recommended).
- Marked Ridge Trails & Panoramic Lookouts — a tidy network of marked trails and ridge walks gives you long views across surrounding ranges on clear days. Good for day hikes or linking into multi-day routes with basic mountain huts nearby.
