- Mossy Gorges, Mini-cascades & Natural Pools — upstream from the main drop the river carves little gorges, slippery rock shelves and shallow plunge pools.

- Village Encounters & Local Guides — small riverside villages sit near the trailhead; talking with a villager or hiring a local guide not only helps navigation but opens doors to village gardens, fresh coconut or a quick lesson in river-fishing.
