It’s a small, low-key island park in Lake Mälaren, east-central Sweden, not far from Västerås and within reach of Stockholm. You get gentle coastal paths, old oak meadows, birds everywhere, and short, easy walks rather than serious treks. Access depends on boats and seasonal services, which adds cost and limits spontaneity, and there’s no camping or budget huts inside the park, so you’re day-tripping and sleeping elsewhere.
