The real decision at Little Tobago Island is whether to commit to an early boat from Speyside, because the birds are active in the morning and the midday heat on the climb is no joke. Go early and you get them; sleep in and you get sweat. The island sits off the northeast tip of Tobago, in Trinidad and Tobago, a short hop across choppy water from the Speyside shore.
