- Observation towers and hides: Scattered lookout towers and hides let you watch birds at close range without spooking them. They’re basic but effective — bring a scope or good binoculars and move slow.
- Sunrise and sunset over the lagoon: The light over Ichkeul is quietly dramatic — low sun, mirrored water and silhouettes of birds make for memorable mornings and evenings. Mosquito repellent and patience will pay off.
