- Antiphellos rock tombs (Kaş headland) — Carved right into the cliff above Kaş, these Lycian tombs sit a hair’s-breadth from the sea. Seeing ancient façades and sarcophagi cut into the rock while the waves crash below gives you an instant sense of how layered this coastline is — archaeology one minute, salty swim the next.
- Kaputaş Beach viewpoint — That postcard-blue cove you’ve seen a thousand times lives up to the hype. The dramatic drop from the road to a tiny, perfectly framed pebble beach (with a steep stairway down) makes for an unforgettable photo and a perfect cooling stop mid-hike.
- Akbel Bay — my personal favorite — Small, pine-shaded pocket of coastline with clear water and barely any tourists. It’s a proper backpacker reward: shade for your picnic, rocks to dive from, and a chilled

- Kalkan old harbour and terraces — The walk ends (or begins) with whitewashed houses, tiled roofs and a neat little harbour full of fishing boats and seaside cafés. It’s lovely to slip into a terrace, eat fresh fish and watch the sunset after a day on the trail — a cultural finish most coastal hikes don’t offer.
- Cliff-top panoramas & coastal flora — The trail hugs limestone ridges with constant, sweeping sea views, pockets of wildflowers and the odd goat or shepherd. That exposed, airy hiking with endless blue ahead is what makes this stretch feel more cinematic than your average woodland route.
