- Tovtry Ridge (Medobory) — The spine of the park: an ancient reef turned limestone ridge with rolling, honey-colored hills. Hike the ridgeline for wide panoramas, curious rock formations and fossil-rich outcrops you won’t find in ordinary forests.
- Dniester Canyon vistas — Steep riverbanks and sudden cliffs drop into the Dniester, creating dramatic viewpoints and mirror-like water stretches. Great for sunset photos, easy cliff-side walks and spotting river wildlife from above.
- Bakota Bay and the submerged village ruins — A small, sheltered bay with walnut trees, a ruined monastery clinging to a rock and that eerie half-submerged village feel. It’s one of the most photogenic, free-to-visit spots for swimming, paddling or a lazy riverside picnic.

- Chalk cliffs and karst outcrops — White limestone faces, little caves and karst hollows give the park its otherworldly texture. Scrape the surface and you’ll often find marine fossils and tiny alcoves perfect for a short, adventurous detour.
- Steppe meadows and rare plants — Warm, dry slopes host steppe grasslands with orchids, feather-grasses and endemic chalk-loving species. Visit in spring for blowing carpets of wildflowers and a serious dose of pollinators and butterflies.
- Birdwatching along the river corridor — The Dniester is a migratory highway: raptors, herons, kingfishers and flocks of waterbirds are common. Bring binoculars and a quiet pair of shoes—early morning is when the park really wakes up.
- Short ridge hikes and rustic lookout points — Trails are simple and satisfying: one- to half-day routes take you between cliff overlooks, grazing meadows and tiny shepherding hamlets. Perfect for low-effort adventures that still feel remote and wild.
