You know what nobody tells you about Bai Dai Beach until the last day? It’s one of the easiest places near Nha Trang to actually spread out without paying resort prices or fighting for towel space. Bai Dai sits on the Cam Ranh peninsula in south-central Vietnam, a short ride from Nha Trang’s chaos but far enough that most package tourists don’t bother. The sand is long and open, the water usually good for swimming with some wind and small surf, and the vibe is lazy-bordering-on-sleepy. Parts of the shore can be a bit scruffy with construction and trash, but you’ll find cheap seafood shacks, basic bungalows, and hammocks that don’t come with a DJ. Compared with Nha Trang’s city beach, Bai Dai feels rougher, quieter, and much better for doing nothing on purpose.

As for marine life, you might spot a jellyfish or two, but they’re not lurking like a horror movie villain. Just be mindful of where you step—those sharp coral bits can surprise you.
